Choose Red Ace or Chioggia: Chioggia beets are an heirloom variety from Italy known for their striking pink and white striped interior, which fades when cooked. They have a sweet, mild flavor and can be used like a regular beet in salads, roasted, or pickled. Red Ace beets have a sweet and tender, earthy flavor, making them a popular and versatile variety for fresh eating, roasting, and pickling.This hybrid is known for its high sugar content, which contributes to its sweetness, and its smooth, deep red flesh. The leaves/stems of both varieties are wonderful for eating! 6-7 beets per bunch.
